Playing Around with Experimental Electronic Music

man playing guitar on stage

Over the past few days, I’ve been having a blast playing around with my collection of electronic music gear. From my trusty Roland SP-404 mk II and Roland S-1 to the Moog Mavis and Moog Mother-32, I’ve been exploring the world of experimental electronic sounds.

My recording setup has been a mix of old and new. I’ve been using my Zoom H8 and a modded turquoise tape cassette recorder to capture the raw sounds. There’s something magical about the warm, analog feel of tape recordings.

Once I have the recordings, I plan to transfer them to my SP-404 and my Elektron Oktatrack for further processing. These machines give me endless possibilities to manipulate and shape the sounds I’ve captured. It’s like being a mad scientist in a sonic laboratory.

Who knows, maybe these experiments will lead to something special. I might even end up releasing some of these recordings for others to enjoy. So, if you’re a fan of electronic music and love the thrill of the unexpected, stay tuned for updates.

Remember, electronic music is all about pushing boundaries, exploring new sonic territories, and embracing the unexpected. So, join me on this journey as I dive deeper into the world of experimental electronic music. Who knows what we’ll discover along the way?

Completing Remixes Vol 3: A Marathon Session

After a marathon session, I have finally completed Remixes Vol 3. It is now 5:30 in the morning, and I am pleased with the results. The hard work and dedication have paid off, and I am excited to share my music with the world.

Now comes the next step – uploading the music to DistriKid for release. DistriKid is a popular platform that allows independent artists like myself to distribute their music to various streaming platforms.

When setting the release day, it is important to consider the preferences of the streaming platforms. Typically, they prefer a four-week period to ensure that the music is released on time. However, it is worth noting that these platforms rarely promote independent music.

Given this information, I have decided to set the release day for Remixes Vol 3 to January 17th. This allows for the four-week period while also taking into account the limited promotion opportunities. By setting the release day on January 17th, I can ensure that my music reaches the streaming platforms in time.

As an independent artist, it is crucial to make strategic decisions when it comes to releasing music. While the streaming platforms may not actively promote my music, I am determined to reach my audience and share my passion for remixes.

Stay tuned for Remixes Vol 3, coming soon on January 17th. I can’t wait to share my music with all of you.

Recently, there have been some setbacks in the completion of the new albums. Unfortunately, computer problems and health issues have been causing delays in the mixing and mastering process. These challenges have been frustrating, but we are working diligently to overcome them.

One of the major obstacles we are facing is related to computer problems. Technical issues have arisen, making it difficult to efficiently work on the albums. However, our team is actively troubleshooting and seeking solutions to ensure a smooth workflow.

In addition to the computer problems, there have been health issues affecting the progress. Specifically, the artist’s left foot has been causing significant discomfort, making it nearly impossible to concentrate on the mixing process. Despite the use of painkillers, the pain persists and hinders the ability to focus effectively.

We understand the anticipation surrounding the release of these new albums, and we sincerely apologize for the delays. Rest assured, we are doing everything possible to address these challenges and move forward with the completion of the albums.

Thank you for your understanding and patience during this time. We are committed to delivering high-quality music and appreciate your support.
