Google Site Kit

Well, Google Site Kit strikes out again. I haven’t done anything to my settings, but now a whole bunch of data is now not available. Site Kit is a Google product which feeds off of Google Analytics to give you an idea about how users interact with your web site. But using Site Kit is a pain which has become even more of a pain. Ugh.

  1. It seems like Google Site Kit is causing more frustration than help lately. I’m surprised to hear that the data has become unavailable without any changes to the settings. Has anyone else experienced this issue recently? Site Kit is supposed to make analytics easier, but it sounds like it’s doing the opposite. Maybe it’s time for Google to rethink how this tool works. I wonder if there’s a better alternative out there that doesn’t cause such headaches. What steps have you taken to try and resolve this issue? I’d love to hear if you’ve found a workaround or if you’re just stuck dealing with it.

    1. Luckily I have another stats tool on my website which, while the stats are different, at least provides some insight into website usage.

  2. It’s frustrating when tools like Google Site Kit, which are supposed to simplify things, end up causing more problems. I’ve been relying on it for analytics, and this kind of issue really makes me question its reliability. Has anyone noticed if this is a widespread problem or just isolated cases? It seems like a waste of time to troubleshoot something that should work seamlessly in the first place. Maybe it’s worth exploring other analytics tools—do you have any recommendations? I’m curious if this is a recent update issue or if Site Kit has always been this glitchy. What’s your take on whether Google will actually address these concerns, or is this just something we’ll have to live with?

    1. The issues I’m seeing are recent and there doesn’t seem to be a way to resolve those issues. This makes Site Kit less than useful.
